MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe continued his campaign to get punter Ray Guy into the Hall of Fame by writing “Vote Ray Guy” on his jersey patch commemorating the Hall of Fame.

Players are wearing the patch to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Kluwe wrote the message in protest of the fact that there are no punters in the hall. Kluwe says he knows he will probably get fined for putting the personal message on his jersey. But he feels it’s worth it.

Kluwe says “Why am I going to support a Hall of Fame that doesn’t have a punter in it?”

He calls it “a sham of a system if you’re not going to acknowledge every facet of the game.”
