Ward scores 26 points, Montana tops Carroll 78-58

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Mathias Ward scored 26 points to lead Montana to a 78-58 victory over Carroll College (Mont.) on Saturday night.

Montana (4-3) also got 15 points from Keron Deshields, including three 3-pointers, and 14 points and seven assists from Kareem Jamar.

Montana had a solid night from the floor. It shot 48.4 percent, and connected on 8 of 18 3-point attempts.

Nick Jones led Carroll (0-8) with 19 points and eight rebounds. He hit three 3-pointers.

Dennis Mikelonis scored 14 points and Brett Ball scored 12.

Montana shot 12 times from the foul line, making 10. Carroll only attempted nine from the line but made eight.
