Mountain View High team finishes 20th in national math contest

Mountain View — Mountain View High School ranked 20th in a national math contest, during which students raced to answer 100 questions in 30 minutes. The yearly “Team Scramble” competition is administered by National Assessment & Testing. The top 25 ranking schools scored between 41 and 86. Mountain View had 44. The winning school was the Academy for the Advancement of Science and Technology in New Jersey. The questions touched on a variety of mathematical concepts, from logic problems to finding missing values of data sets.
