VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Jesse Berry scored 22 points and freshman Marcus Posley added a season-high 20 off the bench, helping Ball State sweep its home-and-home series with South Dakota with an 80-73 victory Saturday night.

Majok Majok continued to dominate the glass, pulling down 13 rebounds to go along with 11 points for the Cardinals (5-4), who got their first road win of the season. Ball State also beat South Dakota 62-51 at home on Dec. 8 in a series sandwiched around finals week.

Juevol Myles had 24 points and was 15 of 16 from the free-throw line for the Coyotes (4-7), who lost their third straight. Brandon Bos added 17 points.

South Dakota stayed close throughout the second half and pulled within 63-62 on Karim Rowson’s layup with 2:44 left, but Ball State scored the next six, capped by Posley’s two free throws with 1:02 left, to put the game away.
