Cold rain may include some snowflakes today

A cold weather system moving through Southwest Washington is bringing some snow in addition to rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said a rain and snow mix will turn to all rain after 1 p.m.

The snow level was forecast at 900 feet, rising to 2100 feet this afternoon.

Afternoon highs should be near 41 with southeast winds 14 to 18 mph, becoming south southwest in the morning, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
