Paul finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Shayne Whittington added 15 points for Western Michigan (7-3), which snapped a two-game losing streak and handed High Points its second straight loss.
Paul’s jumper with 12:05 left in the first half broke open a 10-all tie and sparked a 21-0 run for the Broncos over a 10-minute span.
John Brown’s free throws stopped the spurt with 2:28 showing on the clock but High Point (4-5) didn’t hit a field goal until the 1:10 mark.
