Morgan, Yale dominate Albertus Magnus 112-63

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Austin Morgan led five players in double figures with 16 points as Yale blew out Albertus Magnus 112-63 Tuesday night in nonconference play.

Justin Sears, Sam Martin and Will Childs-Klein each scored 12 points, and Jeremiah Kreisberg chipped in with 11 points for Yale (4-7).

With Yale up 19-15 with 14 minutes to play in the first half, the Bulldogs finished the half on a 33-14 run.

Yale shot 61.8 percent (21 for 34) in the first half compared to Albertus Magnus’ 34.4 percent (11 for 32). Yale led at halftime 52-28.

Yale shot 67.7 percent (21 for 31) for the second period while outscoring Albertus Magnus (7-1) in the paint 22-8 to run away with the victory.

Javier Duren grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Yale as the Bulldogs dominated on the boards with a 60-19 advantage.

Darius Watson scored 19 points to lead Albertus Magnus, a Division III program.
