Ogden — At its Dec. 12 Holiday Social, the Ogden Neighborhood Association honored Carrie Schienle with a community pride Vancouver Sparkles award. According to the nomination, Shienle has been a leader at spring cleanups and plant sales, which add much-needed revenue to the neighborhood association bank account. She helps keep the neighborhood green by volunteering with Friends of Trees and helps keep it safe by volunteering as a Neighbors on Watch patrol volunteer. And she organizes children’s activities at neighborhood events.
