Central Park — How many is 140 dozen? Let’s see, that’s … 1,680. Nobody knows it better than the 15 members of local Red Cross Youth clubs, who baked that many cookies for members of the military serving in Afghanistan, Kuwait and South Korea. Club members also included many holiday greetings before the cookies were shipped overseas. And a group of the same students delivered cookies, sang Christmas carols and presented cookies to patients at the Vancouver campus of the Portland Veterans Administration Medical Center on Dec. 4.
