ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos are planning to spend $30 million to upgrade Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
Most of the money will go toward a new high-definition video board in the south end zone, the team announced on its website Friday. Other video boards around the stadium also will be revamped.
Mac Freeman, the team’s senior vice president of business development, said the improvements help the stadium “remain a state-of-the-art facility.”
The Broncos said the money will come out of a capital improvement fund. The upgrades will begin after the season.
Winners of nine straight, the Broncos (11-3) try to extend their streak Sunday against Cleveland (5-9). They close out the regular season by hosting Kansas City.
