Lehigh sprints past North Texas 90-75

DENTON, Texas (AP) — Gabe Knutson scored 28 points, Mackey McKnight added 25 and Lehigh used a big first half to hand North Texas a 90-75 loss Thursday night.

Lehigh (9-2) headed into the locker room at halftime with a 52-33 lead after shooting 52.8 percent from the field including hitting eight 3-pointers. The Mountain Hawks led by as many as 21 in the second half.

McKnight had seven assists and four rebounds to go with his point total. Holden Greiner scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Tony Mitchell scored 22 points and pulled nine rebounds in 31 minutes off the bench for North Texas (5-7, 0-1 Sun Belt). Alzee Williams had 20 points and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the free-throw line. Jordan Williams had 12 points for the Mean Green.

The Mean Green was 20 of 27 from the free-throw line and out-rebounded Lehigh 48-36.
