RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says he is not concerned about cornerback Richard Sherman’s preparation for Sunday’s game against San Francisco despite missing two days of practice.

Carroll said after practice Friday that he expects Sherman to play against the 49ers. Sherman was reportedly absent, appealing his four-game suspension after testing positive for performance enhancing substances.

Carroll says of Sherman, “I anticipate we’ll have him. I know of nothing else.”

The Seahawks could also have cornerbacks Walter Thurmond and Marcus Trufant returning after both practiced Friday. Each have hamstring injuries and Carroll said their status would be decided after pregame workouts Sunday.

Wide receiver Sidney Rice has a sore knee and will work out before the game. Carroll expects him to play, too.
