ATHENS, Ohio (AP) — D.J Cooper tied a season high with 14 assists and six Ohio players scored in double figures in a 93-57, nonconference routing of winless Maryland-Eastern Shore Saturday.

Cooper added nine points, with Walter Offutt (15 points), Travis Wilkins (14), Reggie Keely (12), Ivo Baltic (12), Kadeem Green (10) and Jon Smith (10) reaching double digits in points.

The 93 points marked a season high for Ohio (8-4).

The Hawks (0-11) are off to their worst start since beginning 0-12 in 2002-03 and have lost 14 straight dating back to last season.

Louis Bell’s 20 points led Maryland-Eastern Shore.

The Hawks led 10-9 after the first 4 minutes, but then Cooper’s free throw sparked a 12-0 Bobcats’ run. Cooper was fouled attempting a 3 with 1 second left before halftime and hit all three shots for a 51-32 advantage at the break.

Ohio finished with 30 points off 24 Hawks’ turnovers.
