James R. Altfilish

James “Jim” Richard Altfilish died Dec. 17, 2012, in Vancouver, after a short battle with pneumonia. He was 81.

A service was held Dec. 21 at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas.

Elizabeth A. Rowan

Elizabeth Anne Rowan died Nov. 29, 2012, in a Portland hospital from complications related to her leukemia treatment. She was 21.

A public memorial service will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the First Church of God, 3300 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver.

Richard R. Smolarek

Richard “Dick” Rudolph Smolarek, of Camas, died Dec. 9, 2012. He was 83.

His memorial service was held Dec. 13, at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas.

Carol R. (Erickson) Kraff

Carol Ruth (Erickson) Kraff died peacefully Dec. 21, 2012, at her home in Camas, after a year long battle with lung cancer. Her daughter and granddaughter were by her side. She was 87.

Services will be held Thursday, at 1 p.m., at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., preceding the service. Interment will follow at the Camas Cemetery.
