CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says the team has assigned center Dexter Pittman to the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA’s Development League.

Spoelstra says the move will give the second-year player from Texas more time to develop.

Pittman has played in only four games this season for the Heat and is averaging 1.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Miami has not filled his roster spot.
