Boys basketball: Columbia River 65, Clackamas 59

Rian Bassett scored a game-high 23 points and Isaiah Smith added 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Chieftains to a win at the Les Schwab Invitational in Hillsboro, Ore.

Columbia River (6-3) connected on 32 of 40 free throws, compared to 5 of 9 free throws made by the Cavaliers. River will face Southridge of Beaverton, Ore., in the consolation semifinal at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
