Boys basketball: Jefferson 59, Columbia River 53

Jefferson of Portland went on a 13-1 second-half run to recapture control of the consolation final at the Les Schwab Invitational.

Jefferson led 27-22 at halftime before Columbia River’s Rian Bassett scored all 10 of his points during a 14-2 run that gave River a six-point lead late in the third quarter. But the Democrats turned the momentum around quickly for the win.

Isaiah Smith finished with 21 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots for River, which went 2-2 at the tournament. Devin Bolds had 12 points and eight assists for River.
