MACOMB, Ill. (AP) — Terell Parks scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked three shots, helping Western Illinois pull off a season sweep of IPFW with a 62-52 victory Thursday night.

Tommie Tyler and Obi Emegano added 12 points apiece, and Ceola Clark had 11 points and 10 assists for the Leathernecks (13-8, 7-5 Summit), who won their fourth straight.

Frank Gaines had 20 points to lead the Mastodons (10-12, 4-9) but got little help from his teammates. No other IPFW player scored more than six as Western Illinois improved on its league-leading scoring defense. The Leathernecks entered allowing 60 points per game.

Western Illinois took the lead on a Remy Roberts-Burnett jumper midway through the first half and never relinquished it. IPFW pulled within 49-48 on a Justin Jordan three-point play with 3:02 left, but Parks converted his own three-point play and Jack Houpt hit a 3-pointer to secure the win.
