North Florida holds off Stetson 99-96

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jerron Granberry led five players in double figures with 25 points and North Florida rallied to beat Stetson 99-96 on Saturday night.

Parker Smith had 21, Andy Diaz 16, Travis Wallace 14, and Matt Sauey 11 for the Ospreys, who shot 60.7 percent (37 of 61) from the field.

North Florida (12-13, 6-6 Atlantic Sun) trailed 54-47 at halftime but rallied to cut the deficit to one, 78-77, behind a Granberry 3-pointer.

Smith knocked down two treys to give North Florida its first lead of the half, 83-80, with 6:52 left to play.

From there, Granberry hit two more 3-pointers and Wallace scored five straight points to give the Ospreys a 94-88 lead.

Smith’s free throws with 25 seconds remaining gave North Florida a 97-90 lead.

Granberry and Smith combined to make 11 3-pointers.

Aaron Graham scored 24 points to lead Stetson (8-15, 5-7), which was outrebounded 38-26.
