ELMA, Wash. (AP) — A 12-year-old girl admits she set the fire that destroyed her home in Elma.

Grays Harbor County sheriff’s Chief Criminal Deputy Dave Pimental tells KBKW the girl was waiting in front of the home Friday evening when firefighters arrived. She told investigators she started the fire after a dispute with her grandparents.

The grandparents and the girl’s siblings got out of the home uninjured.

The girl was booked into the county Juvenile Detention Center for investigation of arson.
