MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema has hired Eddie Faulkner to coach the team’s tight ends.

Bielema hired Faulkner away from Pittsburgh, where former Badgers defensive coordinator Paul Chryst has taken over as head coach. Faulkner spent last season as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Northern Illinois. He was announced as a member of Chryst’s staff on Jan. 12.

Faulkner played running back for the Badgers from 1996-2000.

Bielema says Faulkner has “tremendous talents” as a recruiter. Faulkner worked with current Wisconsin offensive coordinator Matt Canada at Northern Illinois.
