BOTHELL, Wash. (AP) — Some overweight dogs and pets with injuries or illness are regaining mobility with therapy at the Wag Wellness business in Bothell.
Owner Lynnie Ford uses massage and hydrotherapy in a warm pool to help dogs lose weight and build strength.
Ford told The Daily Herald (http://is.gd/guSsb9 ) it doesn’t replace veterinary care but it can get some dogs walking again and improve their comfort.
The 60-year-old Ford became a dog therapist after her pet dog died in 2007. She quit her job as a paralegal and now works at an animal hospital in addition to running Wag Wellness.
