SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane County sheriff’s detectives have arrested the ex-husband of a woman found strangled in her Deer Park, Wash., home last December.

Clay Starbuck was arrested Monday for investigation of first-degree murder and first-degree burglary. The body of 42-year-old Chanin Starbuck was found on Dec. 3 after a 911 caller reported that uncollected mail and packages were piling up at the home.

The couple had been involved in contentious divorce disputes. They had five children together.
