Vancouver doctors offer free colonoscopies

Advanced Gastroenterology is holding its annual free colonoscopy day next month in honor of Colon Cancer Awareness Month.

The event is scheduled for March 21 at Advanced Gastroenterology, 2415 N.E. 134th St., Suite 205, in Vancouver. Drs. Son Do and Samuel Sim will perform the screenings.

The screenings will be provided by appointment only; patients must apply and be approved for care prior to the event.

Applicants must have no insurance, have low income and be 50 years or older. The colonoscopies are for screening purposes only; patients cannot have symptoms.
