Woman in wheelchair hit, killed in Gresham

GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) — Police say a woman trying to cross a street in a wheelchair was hit by a car Wednesday night and killed in Gresham.

Police say the 58-year-old was not in a marked crosswalk.

The 25-year-old driver of the car remained at the scene. Police say she had not been speeding and didn’t appear to be under the influence.
