BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Alabama has suspended forward and leading scorer JaMychal Green, along with guards Trevor Releford and Andrew Steele, for undisclosed violations of team rules.

That leaves Alabama without four regulars — including their top three scorers and top two rebounders — for Saturday night’s game at LSU because of the suspension of forward Tony Mitchell earlier in the week.

Crimson Tide coach Anthony Grant says the suspensions are indefinite.

While Grant is not discussing specific reasons for the suspensions, he says he is extremely disappointed “in the choices and decisions made” by his players.

Grant says he hopes the players “will be mature enough to accept responsibility for their actions and place a higher value on their character.”

Green is averaging 14.1 points this season, and Releford 12.4 a game.
