Congo president adviser among 2 dead in jet crash

KINSHASA, Congo (AP) — A transport minister says a senior adviser to Congo’s president is among two killed after a private jet crashed while landing in Congo’s city of Bukavu.

Provincial Transport Minister Laban Kyalangalilwa said Sunday the private jet was carrying 10 passengers and 2 pilots. He said Augustin Katumba Mwanke, a close adviser to President Joseph Kabila, died in the crash.
