WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Brandon Britt scored 24 points and William & Mary snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 79-54 rout of Northeastern on Saturday night.

It was the Tribe’s highest point total since scoring 84 in a win over Radford on Feb. 19, 2011.

Three other William & Mary players reached double figures — Marcus Thornton and Tim Rusthoven each added 14 points, and Quinn McDowell had 13.

Northeastern put itself in a hole by making only 9 of 25 shots in the first half and trailed 41-22 at the break. The Tribe (5-22, 3-12 Colonial Athletic Association) led by at least 20 points over the final 16 minutes and built its biggest lead at 77-45 after a 3-pointer by McDowell with 3:40 remaining.

William & Mary was 10 of 20 from 3-point range.

Quincy Ford scored 21 points to lead the Huskies (11-14, 7-8), who have lost four in a row.
