The four remaining members of the Evergreen school board will meet Tuesday to interview candidates for an open spot on the board.
The special meeting will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the district’s administrative service center, 13501 N.E. 28th St., in the Green Complex large conference room.
Seven people applied; four were chosen for interviews.
The interviews will be in a public meeting. However, the board will meet in closed executive session to discuss the candidates’ qualifications, a permitted exemption to the state’s open meetings act.
The board intends to vote Feb. 28, then have the new member sworn in at its March 13 meeting.
