Pearson Air Museum — More than 220 people attended the third annual benefit dinner of the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes, raising $25,000 to provide sports opportunities to people who are blind and visually impaired.

The keynote speaker was Rachel Scdoris, the first legally blind person to complete the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race across Alaska.

There were also testimonials from Jesus Reyes-Garcia and Eliana Mason, and a catered meal by Beaches Restaurant.

The event was held at Pearson Air Museum. The NABA, based in Vancouver, was formed in 2007 by blind and visually impaired youths. For more information, visit http://nwaba.org.
