SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle police say they were following a pickup truck that was moving erratically when the female driver suddenly accelerated and collided with multiple vehicles Wednesday afternoon near Northgate Mall.
Detective Jeff Kappel says six people including the pickup driver were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
Nine vehicles reportedly were involved.
Kappel says the driver is being investigated for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, among other violations.
