Ridgefield Little League fields unlocked again

Ridgefield — Here’s the latest on the dogs vs. Little League conflict that arose last year at Abrams Park.

The dog owners have promised to stop using the Ridgefield Little League baseball diamonds as de facto dog runs.

After daily complaints to the city, what had been permanent padlocks on the Little League fields were eventually removed. So the fields are once again open to everyone (on two legs).

A promised meeting between the dog owners and the Little League has not taken place, but dog advocate Dave Dunn made a presentation to the Ridgefield City Council regarding the ongoing search for a good site for a real off-leash dog park in Ridgefield.
