PRAGUE (AP) — Usain Bolt will run the 100 meters at the Golden Spike meet in Ostrava that is part of the new IAAF World Challenge series.
It will be the Olympic champion’s sixth time at the event, which is scheduled for May 25.
Bolt already has committed to running the 100 at a couple of European meets this year. He will compete in Rome on May 31, and at another Diamond League meet in Oslo on June 7 before returning to Jamaica for the national trials ahead of the London Olympics.
Last year, Bolt won the 100 at the Golden Spike, finishing in 9.91 seconds.
Bolt swept the 100 and 200 at the 2008 Beijing Games and helped Jamaica to gold in the 4×100 relay.
