Central Kitsap’s pressure eroded Battle Ground’s hot-shooting start and eliminated the Tigers from the Class 4A bi-district tournament in Auburn.

Battle Ground took a 25-15 lead after the first quarter by hitting seven of nine shots from 3-point range.

“But we became too reliant on shooting the 3s and didn’t do a good job of executing our offense,” Battle Ground coach Andy Schoonover said. “Plus, their pressure threw us off our game a bit.”

Central Kitsap held a 44-28 advantage in the second and third quarters.

Serg Ochinnikov led the Tigers (14-9) with 15 points, while Kaleb McCary had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
