The Papermakers were whistled for a pair of traveling violations in the final minute, including one that negated a game-tying 3-pointer, as Camas fell in the 3A bi-district quarterfinals.

The Papermakers will face Bremerton or Auburn Mountainview at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at Clover Park High School for another shot at regionals.

Tatum Schroeder and Sydney Allen made baskets in the final two minutes to tie the game at 40-40, before Wilson hit a 3-pointer to go up 43-40 with 45 seconds left.

Kendra Preuninger hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 15 seconds left, but the shot was waved off by a traveling call. Camas got another look at a 3-pointer later, but that too was negating by a traveling violation.

“But the real story was our free-throw shooting,” Camas coach Chuck Knight said, adding that the Papermakers converted only 12 of 28 shots from the line. “If we make anywhere close to what we should make, we win this game.”

Allen finished with 13 points and Jenka Stiasna added 10 points and 15 rebounds.
