TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — C.J. Wilson has arrived at training camp. Albert Pujols is on deck.

The $240 million slugger, who helped St. Louis win a World Series title last season before signing with Los Angeles Angels in December, is expected to arrive on Monday to begin the next chapter in his Hall of Fame-calling career. A new team, new teammates, new city, new manager, everything will be foreign to Pujols, who spent 11 glorious seasons with the Cardinals.

On Sunday, Wilson, the former Texas left-hander who signed a five-year, $77.5-million deal with the Angels, was one of a handful of players to work out before the Angels have their first formal practices.

After parking his car, Wilson signed autographs for faceless fans on the other side of a brick wall who couldn’t see him as they handed over bats, cards and balls.
