NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (AP) — Kevin Foster had 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench to lead Fresno State to a 62-49 victory against Cal State Northridge on Saturday night.

Tyler Johnson scored 11 points and Kevin Olekaibe 10 for the Bulldogs (12-16) in a BracketBusters game that saw Cal State Northridge go frigid in the second half.

The Matadors (12-16) led 32-23 at the break but shot just 2 of 22 (9.1 percent) from the floor in the second half. Josh Greene’s jumper with 13:01 remaining was their last field goal.

Cal State Northridge kept afloat by making 13 of 16 free-throw tries in the second half. But it had no answer after Foster’s 3-pointer with 4:50 remaining gave Fresno State a 51-47 lead with 4:50 remaining, and the Bulldogs padded the margin at the line.

Greene had 20 points and Stephan Hicks 11 for the Matadors.
