GRAMBLING, La. (AP) — Kelsey Howard scored a game-high 27 points, including all the game’s points in the final minute, leading Jackson State in a comeback 63-60 win over Grambling State on Saturday night.

With Jackson State (7-19, 5-9 Southwestern Athletic Conference) trailing 60-59 with 1 minute left, Howard took the game into his hands. He sank a jumper to put Jackson State up 61-60 and then, after Xavier Rogers missed an attempt at a go-ahead 3 for Grambling State, Howard stepped to the line and connected on a pair of free throws with 7 seconds left to seal it.

Howard also knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and tied team-highs with five rebounds and three assists for Jackson State, which also got 10 points apiece from Jonathan Lewis and Willie Readus.

Quincy Roberts led Grambling State (3-21, 3-11), which has lost six straight games and nine of its last 10, with 18 points.
