NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Ty Greene scored 17 points and made a 3-pointer with 1 second left to lift South Carolina-Upstate to a 62-61 win over Lipscomb on Saturday night.

The Spartans (18-10, 11-4 Atlantic Sun Conference) trailed 61-59 after Lipscomb’s Martin Smith made a 3-pointer. After an SC-Upstate timeout, Greene — the team’s leading scorer — knocked down the game winner.

Lipscomb was unable to get off a shot to seal the victory for the Spartans.

SC-Upstate rallied from a six-point halftime deficit, outscoring the Bison 35-28 in the second half to seal the comeback win and keep in the race for the conference crown. SC-Upstate travels to first-place Belmont on Monday night looking for a regular-season sweep against the Bruins, who the Spartans beat 79-78 on Jan. 21. They trail Belmont by two games with three games to play.

Deonte Alexander had 12 points for Lipscomb (12-15, 7-8).
