JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Aloys Cabell scored 24 points to lead Jacksonville over Kennesaw State 73-71 on Monday night.

Cabell was 7 of 10 from both the field and the free-throw line as the Dolphins (8-20, 6-11 Atlantic Sun Conference) won their third straight.

Jacksonville allowed Kennesaw State to shoot 64.7 percent in the second half (22 of 47) but held on in the final 2 minutes. The Dolphins led 73-68 with 1:34 left, and the Owls pulled within two on Romain Henry’s layup and a free throw by Markeith Cummings.

The Owls (3-26, 0-16), however, couldn’t snap their 17-game losing streak as Henry’s 3-pointer with 1 second left came up short.

Tevin Galvin added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Delwan Graham had 12 points and Glenn Powell 11 for the Dolphins.

Cummings led Kennesaw State with 27 points, and Aaron Anderson had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
