Attempted suicide at Deschutes County Jail

BEND, Ore. (AP) — The Deschutes County sheriff’s office says a jail inmate was critically injured in a suicide attempt.

Deputies found the man Monday evening needing medical attention. He was taken to St. Charles Medical Center-Bend.

KTVZ reports (http://is.gd/JgjNN5 ) he had been jailed on a California warrant accusing him of threatening a victim-witness.
