A two-car crash on the Glenn Jackson Bridge slowed southbound traffic on Interstate 205 Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported around 8:45 a.m. and involved an SUV and a car, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Engine 6 and 8 with the Vancouver Fire Department responded to the crash, said Capt. Scott Willis, a department spokesman.

There was significant damage to one vehicle, he said.

The two vehicles were on the side of the bridge, but WSDOT traffic cameras showed traffic backed up past state Highway 14 at 9:15 a.m.

Washington State Patrol also responded to a crash on state Highway 14 west of Lieser Road around 8:40 a.m.

Troopers found one car had spun out and was facing east in the westbound lane, said Trooper Ryan Tanner, state patrol spokesman. The driver of the car was uninjured and the car was moved to the shoulder, he said.
