CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — The jury has reached a verdict in the trial of a former University of Virginia lacrosse player charged with killing his ex-girlfriend .
Twenty-four-year-old George Huguely V of Chevy Chase, Md., was charged in the May 3, 2010, slaying of Yeardley Love, a 22-year-old suburban Baltimore woman.
Jurors began deliberations Wednesday after hearing nine days of testimony about the couple’s volatile relationship.
