INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Delaware athletic director Bernard Muir and Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis are joining the NCAA Division I men’s basketball committee.

The two will start Sept. 1. They replace current committee chair Jeff Hathaway, a consultant to the Big East Conference, and University of Texas-San Antonio athletic director Lynn Hickey, whose terms expire Aug. 31.

Muir, a former player at Brown, is on USA Basketball’s Board of Directors. He has been the Delaware AD since 2009. Hollis is chair of the Division I Amateurism Cabinet and a member of the NCAA’s Men’s Basketball Issues Committee.

The committee will be chaired in 2012-13 by Mike Bobinski, the athletic director at Xavier.
