A man’s body was found early Tuesday in Vancouver’s Fourth Plain Village neighborhood near the intersection of Norris Road and East 32nd Street.

A man was outside looking for his cat when he came upon the body, police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. Emergency dispatch logs show police and emergency personnel were called out around 4 a.m.

Police stretched crime scene tape around a field between homes. Several kids passed the scene on their way to a nearby bus stop.

Vancouver police’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating.

The man’s name was not released Tuesday.
