The Port of Vancouver is offering tours of its operations in honor of its 100th birthday, which is this year. The first “Centennial Public Tour” kicks off at noon Thursday at the port’s main office, 3103 N.W. Lower River Road.
Visitors will be invited to take part in trivia, ask questions and to see the port’s marine and industrial facilities. Those interested should make a reservation by calling 360-693-3611 or e-mailing info@portvanusa.com. Eight centennial public tours are scheduled from February through October.
Reservations and photo identification are required to attend a port tour, which lasts for about two hours. No cameras are allowed on marine terminals.
