Shots fired at Portland Samaritan

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police say shots were fired at a good Samaritan who tried to intervene in a purse-snatching at a Tri-Met bus shelter in southeast Portland.

No one was injured in the Monday night shooting. Three suspects fled down a bike trail. Officers tracked them with a police dog and detained two people for questioning.
