STOCKHOLM (AP) — Olympic champion Dayron Robles won the 60-meter hurdles at the indoor XL Galan meet on Thursday after Liu Xiang was disqualified for a false start.

Robles finished in 7.66 seconds, 0.02 in front of fellow Cuban Orlando Ortega. Maksim Lynsha of Belarus was third in 7.73.

Liu, the 2004 Olympic champion, jumped the gun at the Globe Arena in what was only the second competition the Chinese hurdler has raced against Robles since last year’s world championships in Daegu, South Korea.

Liu beat Robles convincingly at the indoor meet in Birmingham, England, on Saturday, winning in 7.41 seconds with the Cuban 0.09 behind.
