MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Police say three boys — a 14-year-old and two 10-year-olds — sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl at the Medford YMCA.

The attack Monday went on for 40 minutes until it was broken up by the girl’s mother when she went inside looking for her.

The Mail Tribune reports (http://is.gd/d1gs1z ) the 14-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday and held in juvenile detention. The 10-year-olds were cited and released.

Police say the older boy knew the girl and the boys pushed her into an area near the handicapped entrance and held her down.

YMCA executive director Brad Russell says it’s cooperating with the investigation and will make changes to protect child safety, if needed.
