LA Kings, Mitchell agree to 2-year extension

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to a two-year contract extension with defenseman Willie Mitchell.

He has three goals, nine assists and 32 penalty minutes in 55 games this season. Mitchell signed with the team as an unrestricted free agent in August 2010.

The 34-year-old defenseman has also played for Vancouver, Dallas, Minnesota and New Jersey in his NHL career.
